Background
The Abansky Coal Mine (Абанский разрез) is an operating surface coal mine in Krasnoyarsk Krai, Russia. The Abansky coal mine is owned and operated by Krasnoyarskkrayugol OJSC, a subsidiary of Russian Coal.[5]
Its capacity is said to be 270,000 tonnes per year.[6][7] The other mine operated by Krasnoyarskkrayugol is Pereyaslovskiy coal mine, which makes up 98% of the company's production.[8][9]
In 2022 coal production reached 85,000 tonnes, increasing from 79,000 tonnes in 2021.[10] It was planned to mine 85,000 tonnes in 2024-2026.
