Bharat Aluminium Company (BALCO) is a major Indian aluminum company which operates an existing aluminum smelter with another under construction in Chhattisgarh, two bauxite mines and two coal-fired power stations.[1] [2] [3]

Coal-fired power stations
BALCO operates two captive coal-fired power stations. These are a 270 megawatt (MW) power station at Jamnipali, Korba, Chhattisgarh. The second power station is a 540MW at the same location and also sourcing its coal from the Gevra & Kusmunda mines.[3]
Proposed new coal-fired power station
