Background

The Bussac cement plant is one of four plants apart of owner Heidelberg Material's country-wide Decarbonation Program. The modernization plans for the plant include the modification of the cooler to improve energy efficiency, increase to the capacity of the’ plant to upgrade alternative fuels, and a modification of the precalciner to increase the rate of alternative fuel substitution to 80%.
