Background
The Termocosta power station is expected to be operational in 2023[5] and will be part of the Santa Marta energy hub.[6] As of July 2020, the project was undergoing feasibility studies.[6]
As of November 2022, the Termocosta power station was still listed on the website of project developer NENCOL.[7] However, the project was removed from the website of Colombian planning agency UPME between October 2021[5] and February 2022[8], implying that the project might no longer be moving forward.
