Xutang power station (大唐徐塘发电厂) is an operating power station of at least 1200-megawatts (MW) in Xutang, Pizhou, Xuzhou, Jiangsu, China with multiple units, some of which are not currently operating.

Background

The four existing coal-fired units of Xutang power station, totaling 1,200 MW, were brought online between 2001 and 2004. The plant is owned by China Datang.

Description of Expansion

Datang is currently planning to build two additional coal-fired units at this plant, with a total planned capacity of 2,000 MW.

However, with no developments since May 2015, the project appears to be cancelled.
