Dulces Nombres (Monterrey) power station (Planta CC Dulces Nombres (Monterrey)) is an operating power station of at least 1008-megawatts (MW) in Dulces Nombres, Pesquería, Nuevo León, Mexico. It is also known as Monterrey I (Unit 1), Monterrey III (Unit 3), Monterrey IV (Unit 4), Monterrey II (Unit 2).

Background
In February 2022, the Mexican government denied the extension of Iberdrola's generation permit in a move to strengthen the power of the state-owned power utilities over private operators.[11][12] In March 2022, a Mexican judge ruled that the Spanish energy firm could continue operations at it's Dulces Nombres plants.[13][14]
