Guigang power station (华电贵港发电厂) is an operating power station of at least 1200-megawatts (MW) in Wule Town Fengziling Village, Gangbei, Guigang, Guangxi, China with multiple units, some of which are not currently operating. It is also known as Huadian Guigang power station.

Background
The two existing coal-fired units of Guigang power station, totaling 1,200 MW, were brought online in 2007. [1][2]The plant is owned by China Huadian.[3]
Description of Expansion
Huadian was planning to build two additional coal-fired units at this plant, with a total planned capacity of 1,320 MW.[4][5][6]
However, there have been no developments on the units since 2013, and they appear to be abandoned.
2016: Nationwide Restrictions Imposed on Development of Coal-Fired Power Capacity
Due to new restrictions announced during 2016 by the National Energy Administration and the National Development and Reform Commission, further capacity expansions at this location appear to be on hold or cancelled.
