Background

The two existing coal-fired units of Hohhot Jinqiao power station, totaling 600 MW, were brought online in 2007. The plant is owned by China Huaneng.[1]

Description of Expansion

Huaneng was planning to build additional coal-fired units at this plant, with a total planned capacity of 600 MW.[2]

However, those plans were halted due to cash flow problems.[3]
