Background on Plant

The three existing coal-fired units of Huaneng Hailar power station have a total capacity of 24 MW. The plant is owned by China Huaneng.

Description of Expansion

Huaneng is currently planning to build two additional coal-fired units at this plant, with a total planned capacity of 400 MW. The power station went into operation in 2009.
