Background
The three existing coal-fired units of Hegang power station, totaling 1,200 MW, were brought online between 1997 and 2007. The plant is majority owned by China Huaneng.[1]
Description of Expansion
Huaneng is planning to build two additional coal-fired units at this plant, with a total planned capacity of 1,200 MW.[1][2]
However, there has been no news of the proposal since 2011, and it appears to have been abandoned.
