Background

The six existing coal-fired units of Yangluo power station, totaling 2,600 MW, were brought online between 1992 and 2006. The plant is owned by China Huaneng.[1][2]

Description of Expansion

Huaneng was planning to build two additional coal-fired units at this plant, with a total capacity of 2,000 MW. However, there have been no news of this plant since 2007,[3] and it appears to have been cancelled.
