Background

The Jax coal mine is an open-cut coal mine owned by QCoal Group, near Collinsville, Queensland, Australia.[2] Jax Mine is located 15 kilometers south of Collinsville in Queenland's Bowen Basin.[2] It is owned by QCoal, and can produce up to 1.8 million tonnes of coal per annum.[2]

It comprises a part of the QCoal Northern Hub, which also includes the Sonoma mine, Cows coal mine, and Drake coal mine.[3]
