Background
Kakinada LNG Terminal is a proposed LNG terminal in Andhra Pradesh, India.[2] It was proposed to import LNG through Floating Storage Regasification Unit (FSRU).
The future of the Kakinada LNG project is uncertain. In May 2017, Engie and Shell pulled out of the project. Engie and Shell Indian insisted on a guaranteed minimum volume to reach a final investment decision.[3]
There have been no development updates in over four years, and the project is presumed cancelled as of 2021.
