Background
The Kirchdorfer cement plant, founded by Emil Dierzer Ritter von Traunthal and Adolf Hofmann, implements a number of technologies to improve efficiency and reduce emissions. This includes nitrogen-oxide reduction through the kiln control system and a waste-heat recovery system which feeds energy back into the local district heating network.
