Background

Kyrgaisnky Sredniy coal mine (Кыргайский-Средний разрез) is a SURFACE mine near Bolshaya Talda, Prokopyevsky District, Kemerovo Oblast, Russia. Resurs LLC (OOO "Ресурс") owns and operates the mine. The Novokuznetsk coal company Resurs completed the construction of the mine in 2014 with capacity of 3.5 Mtpa.[2]

Jointly with Novokazansky-2 coal mine also owned by Resurs LLC, the Kyrgaisky Sredniy mine produced 7.4 million tonnes in 2020[3] and 7.1 million tonnes in 2021[4] and and 8.5 million tonnes in 2022 (total Resurs LLC production).[5] No individual break-down is available.
