Background
The Nekkovy Coal Mine (Некковый разрез) is an operating surface coal mine in Primorsky Krai, Russia. The Nekkovy coal mine is a surface coal mine owned and operated by Primorskugol LLC, a subsidiary of Siberian Coal Energy Company (SUEK).
It has a capacity 0.5 million tonnes per year and opened in December 2017.[4][5][6] It is not clear how much the mine has been producing.
The mine was not mentioned as one of the operating mines as of January 2023 in a government document[7] and not mentioned in the list of operating assets of Primorskugol in a media source from December 2023.[8] Likewise it was not mentioned in any news reports in the recent years. As of April 2025, it appeared that the mine is not operational.
