Tarakan Coal Anchorage

Tarakan Anchorage is an anchorage point off the coast of North Kalimantan, Indonesia.[1][2] At this location, barges loaded with coal in Kalimantan transfer their cargo to oceangoing vessels using floating cranes or other technology.

Background

In 2022, the anchorage was said to export 9.7 million tonnes of coal. There was no figure for 2023 from the same industry source.[3][4]
