Coal Mine Background
In 2001 it was considered that the mine would require significant infrastructure investment.[1] In 2002 Native Title land agreements were signed between Kangoulu and Ghungalu people, the Gurang Land Council and Xstrata Coal Australia.[2]
Glencore and Xstrata merged in 2013.[3]
