Background
The ACC Wadi Cement Plant, located in Karnataka, India was established in 1968. Since then the plant has undergone significant expansions and technological upgrades over the years. In 2001, ACC commissioned a new plant at Wadi, known as the New Wadi Plant, which included a kiln with a capacity of about 5,500 tonnes per day (tpd), or approximately 2 million tonnes per annum (mtpa).[1]
