Background
LLC gPower, held by EP Georgia Generation JSC, owns and operates the Gardabani gas-fired thermal power plant with installed capacity of 110 MW, which provides guaranteed reserve capacity to ensure stability, security and reliability of Georgia’s unified electricity system. The power plant was built in 2005 as the first successful project using the latest power plant technology in Georgia, and it has been part of the ENERGO PRO (Czech Republic) since December 2010. The power plant is located in Gardabani in the vicinity of the premises of the Tbilsresi gas power plant operator.[9]
