The Al Andalus gas pipeline is owned and operated by Enagás, Spain's main natural gas carrier.[4] Galp Energia owns capacity rights in the pipeline until these expire in 2020.[5]
It includes the Tarifa-Córdoba, Córdoba-Jaén-Granada, Genil-Málaga Bridge, Granada-Motril, and Málaga-Estepona gas pipeline branches.[6] Completion of the Córdoba-Jaén-Granada gas pipeline allowed for the start of the gasification of the eastern part of Andalusia—Spain's second-largest autonomous community.[7]
