Background

The Amaunet power station, originally a project of New Fortress Energy, was designed to become operational by the end of 2021, shortly after the Pichilingue LNG Terminal came online in Q4 of 2021.[10][11]

In October 2022, New Fortress Energy confirmed that it had agreed to sell the La Paz power plant to Mexico's federal electricity commission, CFE[12][13], following an earlier announcement of the proposed sale in July 2022.[14]
