Background

The Bhatrapara cement plant line-1 with began operating in 1986 and line-2 in 2010 and has operating capacities of 1.7 million tonnes per annum (mtpa) and 3.1 mtpa, respectively.[1] The plant also operates a 63 MW captive power plant with WHRS (18 MW).[1] The plant is currently proposing an expansion of its clinker capacity to 8.1 mtpa by installation of a new Line-3 and cement capacity from 3.5 mtpa to 6.5 mtpa.[1][2][3]
