Background
The 1,320 megawatt coal-fired plant is being proposed by Avanthi Power and Infrastructure. The project is located in Amreli, Gujarat in India.[1]
As of August 2014 there has been no development of the project in over four years, including no permit applications. Although the company still makes a cursory mention of the project on its website ("...one thermal power project in Gujarat is under planning"), it appears the project has been abandoned.[2]
