The project uses modular containers to house mining rigs, and was installed at an existing substation owned by Blue Ridge Mountain Electric Membership Company. It is located adjacent to a small solar installation, but it is unclear if a power purchase agreement exists between the owners of the solar array and Ankr.[1]
Cherokee County also hosts a 100 MW mining location owned by Core Scientific, near Marble.
