- Captive industry: Aluminum
Background on Project
In 2014 Anshun Dingxin (Huangguoshu) Aluminum proposed a captive power station of 725 MW (two 350 MW units and one 25 MW back-up) to fuel its aluminum production in Xixiu District.[1][2]
In 2014 it was reported the project was facing obstacles when seeking land and finance.[3]
As of 2017 it appears the company has abandoned the project, instead buying electricity directly from Guodian Anshun power station and Panxian-1 power station for a lower price.[4]
