Baotou Steel (Group) Co., Ltd., commonly known as Baogang Group, is a state-owned iron and steel company headquartered in the Baotou City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, China.[1]
History
Baotou Steel Group (Baotou Steel) was reorganized in June l998 from Baotou Iron and Steel Company (established in l954). It owns two major industries of steel and rare earth.[2]
Climate Commitments
“Strive to achieve the carbon peak in 2023, have the technological capacity to reduce carbon by 30% in 2030, strive to reduce carbon emissions by 50% from the peak in 2042, and strive to achieve carbon neutrality in 2050.”[3]
