Background
The FSRU is associated with the 3-4.8 GW Ben Tre power project under consideration in Vietnam's Power Development Plan 8.[1]
The Power Development Plan 8 lists the project among those "behind schedule or cannot be implemented".[2] As of July 2023, there are no updates on the project and the terminal is presumed to be shelved.
