Background
An expansion for this pipeline that is Hydrogen-ready is included in Snam's 2021-2025 Strategic Plan.[6] They report that the design has been tested for carrying up to 10% Hydrogen, with the intention to expand this to 15% by 2030.[7] This newly built pipeline is part of the European Hydrogen Backbone, and forms part of the Southern Hydrogen Corridor.[4]
