Background
The project is located at the site of a former coal washing and processing plant, and was designed to potentially scale to 75 MW.[1][2] The project became operational in late March 2022.[3] Blockware announced in August 2022 that the mining operation could scale to 100 MW. It was also announced that Blockware had purchased five acres at the Industrial Park West in an agreement with Greater Paducah Economic Development, presumably to continue expansion in the region.[4]
