Bowie No 2 Mine
From Global Energy Monitor
Bowie No 2 Mine is an underground operation in Paonia, CO, owned by Bowie Resources LLC.
In March 2013, Bowie Resources secured an agreement with the Port of Stockton to export up to 1 million tonnes per year from the mine.[1][2]
In October 2014 Bowie said it would be scaling back production at the Bowie #2 mine in response to the termination of its coal supply agreement with the Tennessee Valley Authority and continued weakness in coal demand in the region.[3]
