Background
Suedweststrom (SWS) Kraftwerk GmbH & Co. KG proposed the 2 x 910 MW power station in 2006. In 2012, SWS shareholders decided to cancel the project, citing uncertain political support for fossil fuel energy sources, lack of profitability, and lack of support for the project from the state government.[1][2]
