Background

Bukit Asam Muara Enim power station (also known as Bukit Asam power station) was commissioned between 1987 and 1994, across four units totaling 260 MW.[1][2][3]

In October 2022, Bukit Asam Muara Enim was included on a list of power stations in Indonesia that were proposed candidates for early retirement due to poor technical, economical or environmental findings.[4]

In December 2022, a biomass co-firing pilot started at Bukit Asam Muara Enim power station.[5]
