The Caballo Mine is a surface coal mine, operated by Caballo Coal Company, a subsidary of Peabody Energy, producing 12.6 million short tons per annum, in Campbell County, Wyoming, United States. Caballo Mine is a surface coal mining operation in Campbell County, Wyoming, owned by Peabody Energy. The mine opened in 1978.
