Background

In May 2017, Beijing Energy Group and the Government of Caofeidian District in Tangshan signed a strategic cooperation agreement to jointly develop an LNG terminal and a natural gas power generation in Caofeidian Industrial Park. A joint venture, Tangshan Jingcao Natural Gas Co., Ltd. was established to develop the project in 2018.

As of 2021, there had been no development reported in four years, and it is considered cancelled.
