Background
The generation facility was developed and constructed by ContourGlobal in two phases.[5]The modern and highly efficient plant provides reliable, low-cost energy to 100,000 people in Senegal.[6]In April 2016, the first phase began generating electricity after only 14 months of construction.[5]In September 2016, the second phase started producing electricity.[5]
