Background
Casotte Landing LNG Terminal was a proposed LNG import terminal in Mississippi, United States. Chevron was awarded approval for the project by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) in 2007.[1] In October of 2009, Chevron informed FERC that it stopped development of the project due to sufficient existing US regional LNG capacity. [2]
