Background

Casotte Landing LNG Terminal was a proposed LNG import terminal in Mississippi, United States. Chevron was awarded approval for the project by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) in 2007. In October of 2009, Chevron informed FERC that it stopped development of the project due to sufficient existing US regional LNG capacity.
