Background
In 2014, E.ON reportedly was planning to "scale back operations at Castleford" due to a "lack of viable commercial options for the plant.”[5]
According to the July 2021 Digest of UK Energy Statistics, Castleford was closed in 2020.[6] A July 2021 news article states that the power station was demolished.[7]
