The 'Chinchala-Chikalgaon Amalgamated opencast coal mining project of 3.9 MTPA capacity has been proposed in Wardha Valley Coalfield and is located at Wani Tahsil in one end & extends upto block boundary of Chinchala & Pisgaon block in the Moregaon Tehsil of Yavatmal District, Maharashtra State, India.[1]

Background on Mine
The Chinchala-Chikalgaon Amalgamated opencast coal mining project of 3.9 MTPA capacity has been proposed in Wardha Valley Coalfield and is located in Wani Tahsil at one end & extends upto block boundary of Chinchala & Pisgaon block in the Moregaon Tehsil of Yavatmal District, Maharashtra State, India. The Western Coalfields Limited Board gave sanction to the project On 12 December 2012[2], following which generic ToR was granted from the MoEF&CC in 2014[1]. However, no further development has been reported on the mine since then.
