Background
Chita LNG Terminal is an LNG terminal in Chūbu, Japan.[3]
Chita LNG Terminal received its first import of LNG in September 1977. In 2014 the terminal received its 3,500th tanker since it began operation. Chubu Electric Power and Toho Gas import LNG from Qatar and Indonesia for power generation and residential gas. As of 2014 the terminal was receiving 8.4 million tons of LNG per year.[2]
