Background
This project obtained approval from the Chongqing Development and Reform Commission (Chongqing NDRC) in February 2023, started construction in July 2023, and is expected to commence production and operation in December 2024.[5] In September 2023, the Chongqing Development and Reform Commission approved the change of the project owner from "Chongqing Branch of CGN New Energy Investment (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd." to "Zhongguang Nuclear New Energy Power Generation Chongqing Co., Ltd."[6]
