Chose Choeu is Managing Director of Corporate Affairs for the South African power utility Eskom, a position he was appointed to in May 2010. The media release announcing his appointment stated that "the Corporate Affairs post will incorporate the current Group Communications Department which includes stakeholder management, media and messaging, internal communications and branding."[1]
Background
In its statement announcing his appointment, Eskom stated that "Mr Choeu is currently a Director of Legal and Corporate Affairs at Microsoft. He joined Microsoft in 2003 from Telkom SA where he had spent five years as Executive of Regulatory and Government Affairs. Prior to joining Telkom, he spent 4 years in senior positions with the Parliament of the Republic of South Africa. Mr Choeu is the President of the South African Chamber of Commerce and Industry and President of the Information Technology Association of South Africa. He is also the current Chairperson of the Audit Committee of the Parliament of the Republic. Before then he had a teaching career at several schools and ultimately served as Principal at RT Mokgopa High School in Thaba Nchu from 1990 to 1994."[1]
