Coastal Energen, which was established in 2004, is the power generation subsidiary of the Coal &Oil Group. C&O was established in the 1980's by Ahmed Buhari.

Power stations

Coastal Energen is proposing to establish a 1200 megawatt (MW) coal fired thermal power plant in the district of Tuticorin in the State of Tamil Nadu, India. See Melamaruthur Power Station for further details.
