The Colongra Gas Transmission and Storage Pipeline is an operating natural gas pipeline.[1][2]
Location
The pipeline runs from the Sydney to Newcastle Pipeline at Wyee, New South Wales to the Colongra Power Station near Doyalson, New South Wales.
Project details
- Operator: Jemena[1]
- Owner: Jemena[1]
- Capacity: 38.86 million cubic feet per day / 41 terajoules per day[3]
- Length: 9 kilometers[2]
- Status: Operating
- Start year: 2009
Background
The pipeline is operated and owned by Jemena. Due to route restrictions, the 9-kilometer pipeline was looped to fit in a 1-kilometer stretch of land, and used 42-inch pipe to do so, making it the largest-diameter onshore pipeline in Australia.[4]
