Dabu power station (粤电大埔发电厂) is an operating power station of at least 1200-megawatts (MW) in Sanhe Town, Dabu, Meizhou, Guangdong, China with multiple units, some of which are not currently operating. It is also known as Yudean Dabu power station.

Background on Project
Guangdong Yudean Group is currently building a two-unit coal-fired power plant with a total planned capacity of 1,200 MW in Guangdong Province.[1][2][3][4][5]
Unit 1 was completed in 2015,[6] and Unit 2 in June 2016.[7]
Expansion
In May 2020, plans were announced for a 2 x 1,000 MW expansion at the plant. Construction was planned for 2021.[8] The expansion was listed in the Guangdong Major Development Projects of 2020 as a Major Preliminary Project.[9]
The two units were permitted on August 25, 2022.[10] In November 2022, construction reportedly began.[11]
