Background
In March 2023, Zhongwei New Materials and Delong Nickel Industry jointly established PT Nadesico Nickel Industry (PT NNI). PT NNI was planned to build a Delong Nickel Phase IV project in Indonesia, with a designed annual production capacity of 80,000 tons. The project would include the construction of a 2 x 330 MW captive coal-fired power station.[1] The power station's two units appeared to be referred to as Unit 2 and Unit 3.
In late March 2023, an on-site kickoff meeting was held.[2]
In March 2024, the power station was under construction.[3]
In June 2024, Unit 3 was successfully connected to the grid.[4]
In September 2024, Unit 3 passed its trial operation period.[5]
In October 2024, construction of Unit 2 was ongoing.[6]
