Background on Mine

The Dhelwadih Underground Coal Mine Project has a designed capacity of 0.33 MTPA on a mining lease area of 742.976 ha. The mine is operated by South Eastern Coalfields Limited, is located in village Dhelwadih, Katghora, District Korba, State Chhattisgarh, India. The project received its environment clearance for a capacity expansion from 0.27 MTPA to 0.33 MTPA on 17 October 2006.
