Background
The Diaghilevskaya Thermal Power Plant produces electricity and heat, supplying the city's heat by 15%. In the coverage area of the CHPP there are industrial enterprises and residential buildings of the microdistricts of Ryazan: Nedostoevo, Kanishchevo and Prioksky.
At present, the installed electric capacity of the CHPP is 229.2 MW, and the thermal capacity is 354 Gcal/h.
The construction of the CHP plant of the TKPO plant, which is currently called Tyazhpressmash, started in 1953.
A trial run of the CKTI (ЦКТИ) boiler for 75 t/h of steam and a 12 MW turbine took place on April 28, 1958, but the combined heat and power plant was officially put into commercial operation in mid-June of the same year.
Nevertheless, the Diaghilevskaya CHPP was recognized as an independent self-supporting enterprise on December 31, 1959, after the director of the TKPO plant signed the corresponding order.
At that time, the installed capacity of the power plant was provided by 2 boiler units with a capacity of 75 t / h each and 2 turbines of 12 MW each. The construction of the 1st stage of the CHPP was completed in March 1961 after the start-up of power boiler No. 3.
The decision to build the second stage of the station was made in 1963. It included the 4th boiler unit with a capacity of 75 t / h, which was put into permanent operation in March 1965.
By 1977, the thermal power plant completed work on the modernization of boilers, which were transferred to the combustion of fuel oil.
The third stage of the Diaghilevskaya CHPP, consisting of boiler No. 5 and turbine No. 3, was built on December 30, 1975. By this time, the BKZ-320-140 boiler was put into permanent operation, and the PT-60-130/13 turbine was tested. In fact, the 3rd stage was launched in 1977, when boiler No. 6 and turbine No. 4 were put into permanent operation. After that, the installed electric power of the CHPP became 134 MW.
At the end of 1988, boiler No. 5 was switched over to natural gas combustion, and a little later, boiler No. 6 as well.[10]
