Background
Digihost began cryptocurrency operations at the former American Axle factory in Buffalo, New York in 2021. The American Axle facility was Digihost's first operational mining facility, and has a 42 MW capacity.[1] Digihost also operates a second facility in North Tonawanda, at the Fortistar gas plant, where local residents have complained about noise pollution resulting from the mining rigs.[2]
