Background
The project received approval from the Guangdong Provincial Development and Reform Commission in September 2019.[8] In September 2021, the project officially started construction.[9]
The original plan was for Unit 1 to start operating in March 2023, and all three units to be operational by September 2023. However, as of October 2023, none of them have commenced operations.[10]
